NEW YORK—The Volume Black Gallery is pleased to present Masters of Merriment, a group show exposing New York’s up and coming artistic talent in the heart of Manhattan’s Flatiron District. Located at 929 Broadway, between 21st and 22nd street, our landmark building features vintage elements such as tin-patterned walls and carved archways, brought right up to date as space to enjoy the raw, edgy creativity of our Artists. We will be open 1pm-7pm, 7 days a week.

Volume Black is ecstatic to present the gallery debuts of Katelyn Alain’s figurative self-portraits in abstracted environments, I-Ling Eleen Lin’s visual confluence of her Chinese heritage and Western stereotypes and Lisa Lebofsky's sublime landscapes that invade the subconcious with her oil on aluminum works. Merriment meets its match with the playful, animated worlds created by ArtStar’s Gigi Chen and Glenn Palmer-Smith’s intricate and whimsical interiors.

Volume Black is delighted to invite you to the opening reception of Masters of Merriment, on April 30, 2010, from 6-9 PM, which will be accompanied by free drinks, and a performance by Darja Schabad and Ted Panov. Masters of Merriment will be on view through June 15, 2010. For further information, please visit www.volumeblack.com, contact Nikki Milavec at (817) 975-5488, or email nikki@volumeblack.com.
